Composition
THE TEACHER OF MUSIC HAS SKILLS IN COMPOSING AND ARRANGING MUSIC
KNOWLEDGE
PERFORMANCE
REFLECTION
If a music educator does not have this skill, they are doing harm to them and their program. Saying one needs the ability to compose don’t mean they need the ability to compose an extravagant symphony, but taking something that is relevant to your classroom and your students and making it personal to you and them. For example you can create a composition about your class fish. You must also be able to understand the different needs of your students and be able to transpose a piece you are working on into a different key, or move something down the octave. Causing kids aggravation will only hinder their learning process.
