Advocate Music
THE TEACHER OF MUSIC ADVOCATES FOR THE SCHOOL MUSIC PROGRAM IN THE COMMUNITY AT LARGE
KNOWLEDGE
PERFORMANCE
REFLECTION
If a music educator does not have the spunk to stand up for their program, then why be in the profession in the first place. When it comes to budget cuts, the arts are one of the first things to go. We have to be doing everything we can to keep our programs up-to-date, interesting, and sparking the imagination of every student we have, it will be cut. Being able to use cross-curriculum teaching in our lesson plans can help insure a successful program. We are able to teach anything with music, we just need to figure out the right way to do it.
